About this role

The monitoring tech is responsible for the continuous observation of the patient's cardiac rhythm. Duties include application and removal of electrodes, notification of floor staff of changes in rhythms and all life threatening dysrhythnmias Education: HS/GED required. Additional Skills/Abilities: After 12 hours of instruction in the telemetry department, must be able to pass the 1st part of a 2 part comprehensive exam.
